New Year. New Goals. One Club

Introduction & Club History

The Molonglo Juggernauts Football Club is a community-based football club located at Stirling Oval, ACT, representing the Weston Creek/Molonglo region in the AFL Canberra Community men's and Women's competitions.

The club was originally formed in 1994 as the Murrumbidgee Juggernauts, wearing red and black colors. The club secured its first premiership in 2005 after many as runners-up.

In 2014, the club changed its name to Molonglo Juggernauts and adopted GWS to better reflect the growing Molonglo region of Canberra.

A major milestone in the club’s history came in 2014 when Molonglo fielded its first-ever women team in the AFL Canberra Women’s competition. This was significant step, marking the Juggernauts’ commitment to gender inclusion and growth in community football.

The Molonglo Juggernauts' women quickly found success when they secured their first premiership flag in 2016. This year will mark the 10th anniversary since obtaining the first premiership flag.

The Molonglo Juggernauts continued their success by securing premierships in Div 2 Men’s 2025 and Div 2 Women’s 2020.

Looking ahead, the Molonglo Juggernauts are well-positioned for continued success, with strong foundations across men’s and women’s programs. The club’s commitment to community, development, and inclusivity ensures the Juggernauts will remain a vibrant force in AFL for years to come.
